From early photography to virtual reality, it will examine art forms at the turn of the mechanical age (e.g. photography, film) as well as artistic practices in the digital age such as virtual reality, data visualization, artificial intelligence, and NFT.
This course delves into Digital Humanities, integrating methods and tools applicable to literature, history, art history, and cultural studies. It expands to include data acquisition, analysis, text mining, visualization techniques, and AI applications.
We developed an interdisciplinary team that trains students in using text mining to explore patterns related to vocabulary, syntax, grammar, and discourse in novels from the Ming dynasty.
