Hi, I'm Qiuzi Guo. My passion as an art historian and digital humanist lies in exploring the history of "old" media, especially when they were new.

Relocated from Berlin to Hong Kong in 2022; currently I'm teaching digital humanities, art history and digital culture at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Courses

Course: Art and Digital Culture

From early photography to virtual reality, it will examine art forms at the turn of the mechanical age (e.g. photography, film) as well as artistic practices in the digital age such as virtual reality, data visualization, artificial intelligence, and NFT.

Course: Introduction to Digital Humanities/Digital Art History

This course delves into Digital Humanities, integrating methods and tools applicable to literature, history, art history, and cultural studies. It expands to include data acquisition, analysis, text mining, visualization techniques, and AI applications.
